Fourth of July 2015

My Aunt Katie was visiting from Montana.  She was staying with my cousin and his wife in San Diego and they drove up to Ventura over the Fourth of July weekend.  Then I received a message from my step-brothers wondering if we would be around that weekend and before you know it we're having a family party!

Our menu:

• Trip-tip, marinated in sherry, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic and onions
• Shrimp Salad (click here for recipe on Poseidon Cooks!)
• Tomato, cucumber and red onion salad
• Corn on the cob
• Garlic Bread
• Watermelon
• Mixed Berry Crostata with vanilla ice cream
• 

But the absolute favorite dish of the day was the Mini-Mac & Cheese. I hadn't made these appetizers in years and forgot just how popular they always are. Here's a link to the recipe that I posted in 2008.
