Poseidon Galley: Parson Catalina/Newport Trip

We had planned on leaving early in the morning for Catalina but we had to have last minute repair work on the dinghy. The inflatable repair guys were great and put a rush on our repair but it was still too late to head for Catalina. We were excited to get on with our trip so we decided to go to Smugglers, spend the day there and then leave for Catalina the next morning.

We arrived at Smuggles to beautiful sunny weather and immediately went for a swim:

For dinner we grilled a pork shoulder served with a grilled corn, avocado,tomato and red onion salad and tortillas -- delicious!!

We left early the next morning for Catalina:

Sarah & Brett had to head back home and we spent one more quiet day at anchor. Fresh Tomato Pasta for dinner:

We moved the boat down to Avalon and put Poseidon on a mooring for a couple of days:

Tom hadn't been to Catalina since he was here with Grandma & Grandpa Parson when he was five years old. And this was Nita's first trip. We rented a golf cart to show them around, especially the places Tom had visited when he was a little boy.
